Meat Loaf will play the MTS Centre concert bowl on July 27 as part of his Hang Cool Teddy Bear Tour. Tickets go on sale Friday for $59.50, $69.50 and $89.50 at Ticketmaster.
The tour is named after his new album, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, whose title was inspired by a line in the 1970 Russ Meyer film Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. The songs on the album are thematically linked, each one describing a different fantasy of a dying solider.

Meat Loaf last played Winnipeg March 11, 2007. I was there and it was a good time, but I may sit this one out.

I haven't listened to the latest album...so not sure if it's worth it to hear something "new".

I'm a big fan of his BOOH Albums...but he didn't write those. The albums he did write I wasn't as much of a fan.

He is a great performer, been to two of his concerts one each for the BOOH2 and BOOH3 releases.

I'll have to see if I can find the new album to see if I like the music.
