Winnipeg has a team in this freakin awesome tournament. Specifically North West winnipeg has a team in there. A few of the kids from Tyndall Park area are on the team and heck one from across the street from me! Totally awesome that the kids could make it out to this game.

Almost 1000 former or current NHL stars have played in this tournement in past years. Talk about an amazing time and experience for the kids.

I remember hearing great things about this tournament years ago when my son was at the pee wee age. He however was not one of the "select" players to go to the tournament. Hopefully things have changed in the last 13 or 14 years that it is a team and not select players to make up a team that are representing Winnipeg and the Stars organization.

yep it is indeed the team that has been playing together all year this year and most of them were on the same team last year as well I believe.

But AA hockey is a select team, so whats the issue?

at one point they actually made a select, select team to send.. ie took kids from different teams..

What are the rules of the tournament? Are they allowed to send an all star team? If so, again, no issue, but if they followed the rules.

they changed the rules from what my understanding is, but you can still have guest players I believe.
