The man that brought Paper-Mate and Sony to Canada has died at the age of 97.

RIP

BTW, he sued George Richardson and won when Richardson back away from a handshake deal, proving that it doesn't have to be on paper to be a contract.

97 and still active in business and in sports!

I went to University with his nephew, who was a great "kid", and is working for the corporation in Toronto.

Some prety good comments about how he ran the business.

I love the one where the President at 73 retired and he came back to be co-president with his son.

Many years ago I did business with Saan stores, whose head office was in Winnipeg.

Actually, he was The Guy that did it...not with others.

I hear ya. Someone in comments section in the Freep said,

"....a pioneer - albert and his brothers started general distributors in the 50s and brought sony to canada."
