But that's true. I did walk to and from high school in -40C weather. Uphill. Both ways. Why is that funny? I still cannot walk outdoors to this day for fear of remembering those sadistic bastidges that forced me to do that.

I'm suing.

I think it was the Sun, though might of been a blurb on the news one day.

They said since the beginning of recorded weather...the temperatures in Manitoba haven't been as severe as everyone makes it out to be.

That, in fact, the actual number of times the temperature fell below -40C was something like 10, and below -45C was about 3.
Windchill was not factored in, though even with the windchill, it didn't change things too much.

I wish I could find the numbers I had seen...but basically it said everyone likes to exaggerate about how cold they think it is here.
