There was this MASSIVE.. like 8 foot tall? Julie sign on a trailer being pulled around by a truck.

It looked like it was not just sign moving, but actually how they were advertising.

could have sworn pulling around signs like that was not legal ( or did that change? )

anyway.

The amount of money the conservatives are throwing at this election is probably more then their last 5 elections combined. Will be interesting to see the final results come election day.

I saw that sign up near Garden City the other day--definitely 8 feet and possibly more. If we weren't so used to it, wouldn't we think this a terribly odd way to tell people anything about yourself?

Hopefully, the voters there have finally figured out that having some backbencher in Opposition (at best) does zilch for them in Ottawa.

I can think of two giant Kevin signs that are eyesores as well. Probably in excess of 10' tall!

I think there is like 5 of the things around.

heh. I almost walked into one when delivering flyers during my campaign. It was later at night and getting dark, never noticed the 2x4 running down from the top and across the person's sidewalk.

I have seen one on Selkirk and Keewatin, another on McPhillips and maybe Atlantic/Bannerman. There is another one that I have seen but can't remember the street, it is fairly new. What a mess they are going to be taking down once the election is done.

Heh.. and now Julie has a bunch of signs going up all over the place

it sure is interesting to see all the mixed signs everywhere

ie some houses have kevin L and julie, some have Kevin C and Julie. Some have all three.

and this number of mixed signs is far higher then ANY other election has even been,

lots and lots of money pouring into these advertisements.. Just think what some of those community centres could do with one time grants of that kind of money..

I noticed some completely out -of-place people in the audience , pretending to be from the "North End".
DeanK did not have any security at all at the forum, and old timers simply walked in trying to get a free drink and some free pizza!
How do you get a clip from CTV news coverage onto the forum threads?
I wish I could do stuff like that DeanK! lol

I took a screen shot of the video just for you rosie

start playing the video

the when it gets to where you want it .. pause it.

then press the "alt" and "print screen" keys at the same time

open MS paint. right click on the white space and choose paste.

then you have a screen shot. You can use the MS paint features to edit it ( ie take of the extra crap) save the document as a JPEG.


then post it to the forum

If they are any indication of whats going to happen in the upcoming provincial or upcoming full general federal election you will probably have one on your house as all the candidates run out of room. to place them and start using imminent domain to place them wherever they want

I was driving dow McPhillips North yesterday and saw the giant moving bill board of Julie Javier. Not sure of the legalities of it. There is also a huge stationary billboard of hers at the corner of McPhillips and Notre Dame. My only critique of her billboards is her picture is too small to the billboard size. She looks tiny in comparison to the size of the space used. Not sure if the photographer messed up or it that was the advertising agency she used. I like to put a face to the name and platform and even though these are large billboards, from a moving vehicle, they don't stand out for me.
