Natural gas rates are going down effective Nov. 1. The Public Utilities Board of Manitoba announced this morning that it had approved a 12 per cent drop for all customer classes.

You can get out of the contract for a fee. We were in one a while back and it cost us about $50.00 to be released from the contract and in one month we saved that $50.00. All you have to do is ask the company you signed on with for a release and they will provide it to you.

The only people that have benefited from locking in their gas rate were those that locked in right when they started offering locked in rates. Since then - forget it!
