Construction on the new stadium must be well on its way to ensure the re-election of the NDP.

They are mismanaged and have been for a long while. May have cursed themselves when they Fired Berry and Glenn.

Same incompetent board who couldn't leverage a one dollar a year facility. Same incompetents who gave Apser the deal. Same incompetents who allowed the stadium to get run down.

Not the bombers fault. Its the geniuses at the top - something about the best and the brightest

This team needs to do better next year, but then again, this is what we have been saying for the past 20 years.

I think they did pretty good a few years back when they got to the grey Cup and Glenn broke his arm the week before. Dinwiddie almost got it done, but under Berry with Glenn, they were pretty solid. Sure Berry made some mistakes with some players but overall, getting a shot at the grey Cup wasn't really that bad.

How many home games were played this year? Anybody. (I'm lazy this am).

You've got the math wrong. Amortize the entire cost of construction over just the very first game. Oh, and pretend nothing else will ever happen at that stadium, ever, for all of time.

Horrible game, Bombers sure seemed to be hit hard by injuries this year. This team is young, including the head coach, I think next year will see some improvement and a return to the playoffs.

I agree that upper management has been incompetent, now we have a new regime,it will take time, hopefully it gets turned around.

I also hope we build the stadium, the right way.

That assumes the stadium will never ever not once be used for anything other than Bomber games. Consider adding in five Bison games annually. The odd Grey Cup. Maybe a concert or two. Perhaps a soccer game. High school football. Junior football. That is just the spring/summer/fall. Then there are the activities under the dome during the winter.

So maybe a little more than 10 uses annually.

But since we're using numbers of convenience, the new stadium holds about 3 or 4 thousand more peeps than the current stadium. Every time the stadium sells out that brings in a potential $75-100k additional per game using $25 ticket prices.

I'm going to predict the new stadium will sell out for the first couple seasons just due to curiosity. That's about $200k extra revenue per game. And just for game tickets never mind concessions et al.

Geeze this thing will almost pay for itself on Bomber games alone.

...heh...and that $320K doesn't include interest...

I guess that's where the 'gold' part of the Blue & Gold comes into play eh...

We've cleaned house twice already. Coaches and players. At some point we need to have a somewhat stable environment for the players to start gelling together with. Lots of younger guys on the team too. What this team needs is time.

It's our turn to be the Ti-Cats for the next couple of years.

I didn't say clean this year Northlands.
But the team (most of it) has had this season to "gel".

And would have the first half of next season to put it together.

They are CLOSE...so the "gel" factor should not be much...just be able to finish things.

And, this year they were plagued with two injured quarterbacks. Hopefully, by next year, both will be healed and at full strength...so barring injuries again...it should be a good team.
