I'm interested in buying a blu-ray player soon. Would you recommend yours or not?

If a DVD player is a four on a scale of 10, with ten being perfection; where would a Blu-Ray player rank?

No problems since. And our unit gets heavy, heavy usage. But I also have a fan attached to the back so I don;t have to worry about overheating (main cause of red ring of death)
But basically the graphics and gameplay are so similar I think it comes down to this:
Want Blu-Ray : PS3
Want Better On-Line: PS3

Almost all of my gaming friends who play online games will tell you, including myself. The best online service is Blizzard Entertainment followed by SOE (sony online entertainment). Sony PS3's online is free and is way superior to Microsoft. Microsoft pays huge $$ premiums to game developers to be allowed to release games a month early, this does not equate to a better online experience.
Out of my many many friends who have both PS3 and Xbox360 and have the same games on both machines. PS3 beats 360 for On-line gaming.
