Why would a community centre need to hides its name in a job ad you ask?

Perhaps so as not to piss off the present General Manager.

Took me 5 minutes to figure out what community club this is. If they were really interested in confidentiality they would have had replies sent to a Box #.

I always find it kind of funny when a job ad lists an 'Unamed Company' or 'Our client...', yet by the description, you can pretty much tell what company/organization it is.

This ad has appeared in the Free PRess and it was clearly identified as Dakota CC. Curious why it appears blind on Workopolis.

Perhaps they are doing a re-post and don't want people who interviewed and didn't get the job calling to ask why?

I applied for a position once ( company was named in the ad)- I backed out after they hadn't made a final decision on who they were going to hire after 4 months. The position was advertised two more times in the next couple of years. Neither of the additional postings listed the company, but it was obvious who it was.

The key information here is that you are reporting to a VOLUNTEER BOARD, and you better ne a political person! lol

I'd bet that was just a field to be filled out on the submission form that was missed.

If this is Dakota CC, why is it list 1375 Kenaston Blvd as the c/o address, what business is located there? When I do a search of that address, it shows up as a field between McGillvary & Sterling Lyon. I do know that the Lindon Woods Community Centre is expanding so???????????

Been working with too many numbers today so I transposed the address on Google and got the empty field on Kenaston. I did it again and voila, like you said St N. found the person.

Since the address of the center is listed, I believe this is a form error. When the person was filling out the notice on workopolis, they neglected to put in the company name under the "company name" box because they had already put it in under another box. say.. where it said "submitter" or "employer" or something. Then when the form was processed, it didnt have the company name field filled out so it autodrops "unknown company" in there for the fill.

Its not a conspiracy guys.. its just an error..

Now. lets discuss whose error it is.. the form filler for not reading directions properly? or the webmaster who created the misleading form?

It was probably the existing GM's error.
