The guy me and the hubby currently invest with is a friend of ours, I generally do not like to mix business with pleasure but my hubby was investing with him so I decided to. I have noticed that because we are friends he feels he can postpone meetings with us without good reason. Long story short, we are looking at changing advisors. Does anyone on here have someone that they could recommend?

I would not feel comfortable recommending an adviser to anyone. If things go bad I will always be the guy who recommended that adviser... Good luck in your search.

There's a bank (I forget the name) that advertises that they will look over your portfolio and make some reccommends for free.

But, I agree with GOM.

I just talked to my guy and his advice is to buy low and sell high.

I tried that once, but when I came down I regretted selling.

My advice is: drop your advisor, open a self-directed account, and get yourself a Money Sense "couch potato" portfolio.
