I was trying to find out how long it would take to mail a letter from an area in Winnipeg to another area of Winnipeg. I know if you mailed BC or Alberta, it would take 3 days or so to arrive at it's destination.

It's my daughter's 7th birthday today, and I mailed her a card yesterday morning. Since I only get to see her on weekends during the school year, I hope it arrives by the afternoon today. Does anyone know the delivery times to mail a letter 5 km away?

It used to take one day. I'll bet it still does. Under certain circumstances. If you mailed it early, I'll bet it arrives today. Late in the day? Maybe two days?

1. If you are mailing to a destination within Winnipeg from Winnipeg, it usually takes one business day.

2. If you are mailing to a destination within Manitoba from Winnipeg, it usually takes 2-3 business days depending on the location.

3. If you are mailing outside of Manitoba from Winnipeg to a destination within Canada, it usually takes about five business. That is what Canada post has told me. This applies to Edmonton and any other city/town/village/hamlet as well.

hmm..possibly then. hard to say if the pick up was at 1 and 7 you are good to go.. if it was at 9 and 5.....it MIGHT make it. it has to get downtown, get sorted and depending where your daughter lives get sorted to her area in the city. its gonna be close.
