We had rhubarb plants on Arlington. Then the new owners cemented the area for an extra car space.

They also cut down the giant crab apple tree... We made jars and jars of cooked crab apples and jam. I had a swing tied to it. Robins would make their nests on it.

On the tree, Dean, on the tree...
One thunderstorm did tear a big branch off of it, more or less summer 1973, during Folklorama. I remember because I was at the Slovenian Pavilion that evening and the wildest windstorm hit the city.

Hard to believe Vancouver is that great. Guess its ok if you don't mind the crack whores on the East Side, or the continuous rain, or the soaring suicide rate because of the continuous rain, or the fact that you can only see a 3 x 5 ft patch of blue sky. Did I mention the continuous rain? Oh well, to each his own, I guess.
