Blink-182 have a tour this year, with one of the earliest dates at the MTS Centre. Rolling Stone magazine indicated that Weezer and Fall Out Boy were announced as the band's reunion tour openers. The summer tour will begin July 24 and last until October.

I would like to see Weezer....not sure it would be worth it to go to see this show for one band.

No thanks. The only band I would've wanted to see was Weezer.

I thought this band dismembered several years back? When did they decide to get back together?

They came back together after the drummer survived a plane crash last year.

They had way more people than I expected, even some seated in the 300-level section.

The opening act was the All-American Rejects and they were excellent, easily good enough to headline. Fans sang along to their infectious, mostly hyperactive pop-punkish tunes. I was about five people deep away from the stage. This one particular guy kept on crowd surfing, disappearing into the arms of the security at the front of the stage only to reappear a few minutes later to repeat the process. Just as the band were finishing up their last song, one of the crowd surfers fell to the floor and knocked down a woman who appeared injured. Security climbed over the railing to assist her, followed minutes later by paramedics. Security kept on motioning to the crowd to move back to make room, but some of the hammered numbskulls were annoyed and made fun of the poor woman.

Fallout Boy followed and while they were well-received, I didn't like them as much. The crowd also became quite aggressive, with several people shoving and pushing and moshing up a good time at the expense of others who moved out of their way.

Blink-182 were just the way that I expected, energetic and funny - cracking jokes every chance they had. They didn't waste time with audience sing-alongs or participation games like which side of the room is louder, etc. The crowd sang along to several of their song and moshed like I've never seen before during the fast songs.

Overall, I would rate this show 4/5. All-American Rejects were 4.5/5, Fallout Boy 3/5 and Blink-182 4/5.
