This is a fund-raiser for our charity fund.
Currently our primary charitable cause is The Polson School.
We donate annually several thousand dollars to a number of worth charities including:
Salvation Army – Flood Relief
MB Law Enforcement Torch Run
MB Heart & Stroke Fund
Firefighters Burn Fund
Middlechurch Home
Parkinson Foundation of Manitoba
Winnipeg Harvest
Shrine Circus
The Polson School
We have recently made a commitment to focus our charitable contributions to The Polson School to assist with their breakfast & milk program.
Our tournament last year was a huge success and everyone had lots of fun.
The details of the tournament are as follows:
Date: Saturday, July 18th, 2009
Time: 1:00pm tee-time
Location: Crescent Drive Golf Course
Cost: $40/person ($35/under 18)
Includes: Greens Fees, Food
Format: Groups of four head out in succession. Everyone plays their own ball. Individual and group scores are tallied at the end to determine prize allocation.
There will be plenty of fun and surprises throughout the day. Prizes for everyone.
There is also a putting contest which runs throughout the day (additional fee) for a large prize.
This is a FUN tournament...so bring family & friends. Last year we had 2 golfers under 18, and several players who had never golfed before. The course is a 9-hole, par 3 course...just big enough to enjoy the walk.
If you're interested in joining, please PM me and I"ll add you to the list. There's only room for 32 players, so get registered as soon as you can. I will arrange with you a time to collect the fees before the tournament.
