So transport Canada is not letting the RCMP officers , who allowed the Minister to snoop at the airport, back into the danger zone!

Heh..they probably wouldn't enforce the ban anyway, by the looks of it.

Any bets that a few arseholes from Transport Canada take early retirement?]

Mr. Kenny was stunned by the reaction of the airport authority.

"The GTAA has decided the best defence is an offence," he said. "And if they can offload it onto the cops, it will distract people from the fact they are doing a lousy job."

Mr. Baird told reporters that the point is not misconduct by politicians or police, but rather the security holes at Pearson. "I saw them firsthand. What I saw, simply is unacceptable," he said.

Transport Canada's reaction to this is just further proof that they have incompetents running it that must be fired. It's no bloody wonder that the Americans are concerned with the border.

One group of bozos showed another group of bozos the weaknesses in their security.

Instead of ducking and jiving the airport authority should accept the report and make plans to fix the problems.

The Americans will read this and ban all Canadian aircraft into their airspace.

Under-react vs. over-react...

I kind of have to wonder though

Whenever we have big wigs come in from somewhere else there is a company wide email come down.. Joey mc Joe Joe will be in the office treat him like a god.. yada yada... no questions asked anyone that we dont recognize is given god like powers if they simply have a visitor pass. Was this the case? Were the workers forewarned that som bigwigs would be wandering around and that they should make every effort to help them?

Not likely. If such was the case I suspect every door would have been locked...

Exactly. They were clearly caught with their pants down. Shocked

Well, it is nice to see the government is checking up on the bureaucracy. That should start puckering a few asholes eh. Smile

GOM, I love that "one set of bozos showing another set of bozos"

I think I will use that , as it is the perfect description of how I think most governments operate!

Instead of these guys saying, "Thanks, good thing it was a bunch of Mounties and 2 asshole politicians, rather than a bunch of bomb-toting, infidel hating, real live terrorists, who showed us we have to tighten our shit" their respons is "we'll kick some real life security types out and hire more part-time rent a cops who barely speak the Queens English and you should all feel safe."

Yup, if this is their idea of security, be afraid....be very afraid.

Sad part the Americans were shown to be just as bad last year by CBS news , If they really want to get in they will even if it takes years to get there . Hell now they can park in a car out side and blow the plane from the sky with a missle .
