The walk is only 6K.....and they have changed the route to be more scenic and less trafficked.....

Miz, I am not doing the walk however I am doing the Riding Mountain ride in September. I have in the past done the Stonewall to Gimli ride and lived it but want more of a challenge so the hills will definitely be it. I too do this because of a very personal reason so I wish you luck and enjoyment in the walk.
