The thing that makes me think that they are nuts are the "Possiblities"

  • Flu Pandemic - ok this could happen
  • Nuclear War / WW3 / Biological War - this problably will happen
  • Large Hadron Collider - Only if they can keep the damn thing running long enough
  • Nanotechnology - ummmm, my pants wash themselves
  • Religious Apocalypse - Still waiting
  • Nuclear Accident - only if some commie bastard drops the bomb
  • Rise of the Machines - Transfers? Can't wait to see the new movie!
  • Genetic Modification - so what if I want 4 spare livers?
  • Time Travel Error - ummm, yea I doubt they will have that figured out in 3 years.


And thats my take on that!

time travel on planet earth will be possible 1 second after the large hadron collider actually starts working. Unfortunately only three scientists get sucked back in time before the collider obliterates earth. The time travel effects will leave the 3 unlucky scientists with just enough knowledge of whats happening that the message will be distorted and they will not know what destroys the earth.

Time travel is problematic. The earth is never in the same place twice. It travels around the sun, the sun travels around the galaxie, and the galaxie is constantly moving. If you go back or forward in time you'll end up in the middle of space.
