All stock markets plunging. The rich oil peeps and the speculators had already sold their stocks at the right time. Now when the markets hit rock-bottom, they'll go back and buy up all the stocks, the stocks will rise again, other peeps will do the same, and then bingo, they'll sell and cash in the profits once again...
I wonder when the USA will start selling off all the gold at Fort Knox?
OOPS! Oh... Yeah, remember to go cast your vote this October 14. Tuesday.

Damn, I guess we're not getting all those family doctors that Jerk promised us. I guess he'll have to step away from the kitchen table and get back to the drawing board.

Unfortunately, Judy Alphabet got re-elected in Winnipeg North, so she'll still be yelping for table scraps between her many photo ops at the seniors home.

Judy Whatshernamewitheveryletterinthealphabet was a sure thing. I can't understand why, but its one of those things in life you just have to accept. Now she can go on complaining about big bad business and Pat Martin can continue to threaten to kick someone's ass. What a couple!

notice how many conservative votes in the area when the guy did not even really run a campaign? The right person if he/she had knocked on every door could have taken that riding.

I'm not so sure. She got 63% of the vote. Even if the Conservative, Green, and Liberal votes were tallied together under one party, the riding would stay NDP. I assume the 151 commie votes would never switch.

The only hope is an influx of non-Dippers into the riding.

She was the only one who actually did any amount of campaigning in the area. MAny many many people simply vote for who comes to their door first, or who's pamphlet comes to their door first.
Sadly not one single candidate came to my door and in weather like we had that truly is dismaying
I recieved 2 maybe 3 pamphlets from Judy, one from Ray and nothing at all from anyone else.
Now with the cons actually taking 5000 seats without campaigning? The right person with enough energy and attitude could have taken it. heh... I wonder if Thomas Steen would have taken it?

True enough. I wonder, though, is that because the NDP has a huge war chest to paper the area with flyers? I have a feeling that the other parties consider the area a lost cause and leave their candidates floundering to use their own resources.

They do indeed consider it a "lost cause". in 2006 the guy who was running never even really campaigned, he helped out steen Fletcher Smile
well lets see what happens in 2012, Judy will probably retire by then and their new guy/gal wont have the name to stand behind.

I think you could run a kitchen table there and the Nippers would elect it.

The money was well spent in ridings in QUEBEC.

The conservatives could take Winnipeg north, the right person with lots of charisma, one who is not afraid to knock on 15,000 doors. It would be a hard fight with judy's low income/welfare geared vote machine.

Anyone running against Judy Whatshernamewitheveryletterofthealphabet would have to have a strong stomach to show up and eat at all the cultural events that she does. Mind you, thats about all she does.
