Have there been too many innocent people found guilty and if so what is going wrong?

National Post Monday Oct 30 2006 Kelly Patick article " Disputed Convictions Tied To Prosecutor.
I will let all of you find the link, so you have something to do.
Nothing like slagging a retired Crown Prosecutor!
I know that he never did anything wrong, because he used to play Sunday morning basketball with our group at the Y!

I believe that George was a very misguided soul that placed his own ambitions ahead of the truth.

He knew the stuff was going to hit the wall when he 'resigned and retired'. Other than that, he was a great guy.

".....besides that, how did you like the show, Mrs. Lincoln?" Smile

Yes it is a shame that he will go down over time in this way. He was a fine man who just had a ego problem .

i read one of the news stories in the paper today about that guy, and from the details the writer gave, i'm amazed this guy got convicted in the first place, jury must have been totally out for blood. its good that he is finally being released

This goes back to the days when hair evidence was accepted as truthful , until one defence lawyer challenged the whole premise as unproven. This challenge I believe was at the expense of the FBI, who apparently were continually getting people convicted on their testimony about hair evidence, when hair evidence was not a proven thing.
In this case the criticism was that the hair evidence was never a match in the 1st place, and the investigators believed that the crime was done by 2 people, so they went out and found a 2nd person to take the fall.
